Mother Russia plays its manpower card. Great for initial mass production, but limited unit upgrades force the player to build fresh new units rather than capitalizing on veterans. Vulnerable against armored units.
The early-to-mid war Eastern Front German army. The Wehrmacht Ostheer has a bias towards defense, and is slow to develop, but is technically advanced. What it lacks in manpower it makes up for with extensive unit upgrades, enabling players to benefit from experienced units.
The late-war Western Front German army. A highly aggressive and powerful army with specialized and elite units but limited numbers, which means it is best played with a clear strategic intent.
The US expeditionary corps. Its flexibility enables a variety of approaches. Especially good with combined arms tactics, but lacks heavy armor.
Two different armies in one. The tech tree enables the player to favor mobility or defense, which can lead to very different mid and end games. Surprise your enemies!
