This document is intended to help you answer any questions that you may have about Mad Max
Mad Max has been fully tested on Ubuntu 16.04 and SteamOS 2.0. For the best gameplay experience, we recommend you use one of these distros.
The game should also work on other recent versions of Ubuntu, and may also work on other Linux distros; however, as the game has not been tested on these, it is possible that you will encounter performance and gameplay issues, and we do not currently offer support for other versions or distros.
The graphics card series and driver versions below have been tested, and these and higher series or versions will run the game without issues:
Nvidia
Series: 660ti
Driver version: 367.35
NOTE: Open-source Nvidia graphics drivers are not currently supported by Mad Max. Unfortunately, the current open-source Nvidia drivers do not support a number of the graphical features used in the game.
AMD
AMD graphics cards are not currently supported by Mad Max.
Intel
Intel graphics cards are not currently supported by Mad Max.

If you are signed in to Steam, your achievements will be visible to you in-game and also to other players through the Steam application.
Yes.
The game supports gamepads using the SDL 2.0 API. For more information about SDL, see the SDL Wiki.
The gamepads in the following list have been tested and are supported by Mad Max:
The pads below are also supported by SDL and you should be able to use them to play Mad Max. However, as they have not been tested with the game, we cannot guarantee that they will work:
If you encounter problems when using any of the gamepads listed above, please contact our technical support team.
* The Xbox One controller works by default with SteamOS, but will only work with Ubuntu 14.04.2 when using Linux kernel version 3.17 or above.
** In order to use your PlayStation pad with Mad Max, you may need to press the PlayStation button in the center of the controller after connecting the pad to your computer. This allows your computer to recognize the pad.
Switching between a virtual terminal (by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F1-F6) and the X server (by pressing Ctrl + Alt + F7) while the game is running may cause the game to crash or the graphics to render incorrectly.
The problem will be fixed the next time you launch the game.
We do not recommend switching to a virtual terminal while running the game, as the problem is likely to occur each time you do so.
Signing up to WBPlay grants you access to the Battle Brands decal, which you can use to customize the Magnum Opus.
To sign up to WBPlay, select WBPlay from the Main Menu.
Once you've signed up, you can apply the decal by selecting Garage → Decals → Battle Brands from the in-game Pause menu.
To adjust your age when signing up to WBPlay, use the Arrow keys on your keyboard. You cannot use the mouse to adjust your age.
Shortly after you enter the Underdune, an enemy raises a drawbridge, preventing you from continuing in your vehicle. You must proceed on foot and break the wheel securing the drawbridge to lower it, before you can continue.
Due to a bug in this section of the game, you will be unable to continue if you kill the enemy before he has raised the bridge, or if you break the wheel before the bridge has been raised.
Unfortunately, there is no solution to this problem at present. If you find yourself unable to continue, you should load a saved game from a point before you entered the Underdune.
Feral games use a number of open-source software libraries. These libraries are the property of their respective owners, and are used under license.
To see a list of the libraries used in Mad Max, and view their license files, select Software Licenses from the Support tab of the pre-game Options window.
There are several factors which have an impact on the speed at which Mad Max runs. Please see the Mad Max Performance Tips section in the ReadMe for ways to increase the speed at which the game runs on your computer.
Please read the technical support information in the ReadMe; this tells you what to check and if necessary, how to contact Feral Technical Support with your issue.
